“Visual Electric is an extension of our team — intuitive, design-forward, and more brand-attuned than any other platform.”
Devin Terrey
Senior Creative
It’s no doubt that creative teams are overworked, under-resourced, and constantly pushed to do more with less, but most of the evidence has been anecdotal. Superside set out to change that with Overcommitted, a first-of-its-kind editorial report exploring the state of in-house creative teams.
The idea started as a PR initiative (rooted in real data from a custom survey of enterprise creative leads) but quickly evolved into something more ambitious.
“We didn’t just want a report. We wanted something beautiful, like a magazine, that would resonate with our desired audience.”
Kae Neskovic
Executive Creative Director
The Goal
Design a visually striking, emotionally resonant report that felt more like a high-end magazine than a corporate whitepaper — one that reflected the chaotic reality of modern creative work with a tongue-in-cheek tone and sophisticated execution.
The Solution
When the creative team began visual exploration, they knew they didn’t want another templated, AI-looking output. They needed surreal and editorial imagery, intentional storytelling, and above all, a collaborative tool to manage it all.
Enter Visual Electric.
“We tried other AI image/video generators, but it’s clear they just weren’t built for design teams. Visual Electric felt like an extension of our existing creative process.”
From day one, the team used Visual Electric’s generative canvas to co-create images in real time — moodboarding, prompting, leaving feedback, and iterating together. With built-in reference prompting, Art Director mode, and background removal tools, the team was able to craft a visual language that balanced sarcasm and style.
They skipped the usual production delays, skipped the studio, and jumped right into image generation, testing five full campaign directions in a single afternoon.
Key Results
100% of final imagery created using Visual Electric
No photo studio. No production delays. Just creative momentum.
AI tools used: Fine Tuned References, Art Director, Reframe, Retouch, Remove Background, and Upscale
Finally, True Team Workflow
Unlike traditional AI tools, Visual Electric supports team-wide collaboration:
Infinite Canvas allows multiple designers and stakeholders to co-create in one space
Artboards and visual notes enable quick feedback loops
Prompt transparency and reference prompts help maintain a consistent visual aesthetic
Image variants and retouch tools make fine-tuning simple — no external software needed
“We used to export from Midjourney and upload into Figma for feedback. With Visual Electric, we could do it all in one place — generate, comment, tweak, and align.”
From surreal ad spoofs to full-bleed editorial covers, every image (even textures, mock products, portraits and absurd props) was made inside Visual Electric.
The Takeaway
Superside’s Overcommitted report couldn’t have happened without creative vision from the team behind it, but it also couldn’t have been executed the same without Visual Electric.
"AI can spark a vision — but only your creative team can set it on fire."
Devin Terrey
Senior Creative
By reframing AI as a collaborator (not an executor), Superside was able to create a report that felt timely, beautiful, and entirely original.
